Hands-on Training Courses
Two hands-on training courses will be offered at UROtech22.
- Hands on Training: Basic Laparoscopic Skills
In this course, participants will learn and practice basic laparoscopic and suturing skills. Psychomotor skills such as depth perception and bimanual dexterity are taught through the validated exercises of the European Basic Laparoscopic Urological Skills (E-BLUS) training programme. Experienced laparoscopist-tutors will guide you to master such basic laparoscopy skills as instrument handling, pattern cutting and intracorporal suturing. This course can be used as an additional training to prepare for the E-BLUS examination.
- Hands on Training: Basic Endoscopic Stone Treatment
Ureteroscopy is an essential tool in the management of stone disease for all Endourologists. This course will provide hands-on-training with tutor guided practical tips and tricks of doing ureteroscopy. Participants will get a chance to perform Semirigid and Flexible ureteroscopy in the models with a chance to navigate the pelvicalyceal system, stone manipulation, and extraction. This course can be used an additional training to prepare for the ESTs1 examination.
These courses will be held on Wednesday, May 25 (see the Scientific Programme for exact details). Limited seats are available. Each course costs €32.50 incl VAT to take part. You can sign up for a course when you register for UROtech22. If you already registered for UROtech22, you can log in on the registration page and add courses to your existing registration.
